Town of Clinton Board Meeting
November 12, 2025

Board Minutes
Meeting called to order by Chairman Von Ruden at 7:00pm
Pledge of Allegiance:
Roll Call:
- Chairman Darin Von Ruden, Supervisor #1 Joe Giles, Supervisor #2 John Chapiewsky, Town Treasurer Jan Clark, Town Clerk Lori Hemmersbach.
Financial Report and Bills:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the Financial Report. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsksy/Giles moved to approve the 11.1.25 transfer from Savings to Checking of $850.00. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 11.13.25 transfer from Savings to Checking of $54,000.00 (3ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the transfer of $131,750.00 after Shared Revenue is received. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to pay the bills holding Scott until after Shared Revenue is received. (3 ayes)
Approve Minutes:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 10.8.25 Board Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 10.29.25 Special Board Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
Public Comment:
- Resident Lori Schmitz commented on how rough her road is where the new tube was put in. Patrolman Sanders said he would take care of it tomorrow.
2025 Road Projects:
- Ditching and graveling done for the year.
- Hall Road is getting cleaned up. Have to put some signs up by the culvert drop off, cones there for now.
Shop Cement Replacement:
- Waiting on paid invoice to submit for grant payment.
2026 Budget Planning:
- No action
Driftless Humane Society:
- M/S/P: Giles/Chapiewsky to sign stray dog agreement with Driftless Humane Society. (3 ayes)
Diesel Fuel Contract:
- No action.
Building Inspector:
- New guy has 4 of 6 tests done. Going to do other 2 by end of month.
Bank of Cashton Line of Credit:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles to renew the $100,000 line of credit with Bank of Cashton. (3 ayes)
Amish Contributions:
- Darin picked up a check for $21,500 for the last year.
Cashton Fire District next meeting:
- January 19 at 7pm
Town Treasurer Resignation:
- As of 11/30/25. Board thanked Jan for her 22.5 years of service and had well wishes for her.
Date for Budget Hearing and Electors Meeting:
- November 19, at 7pm
Public Comment:
- Resident Wayne Leis wanted to know the Board’s plan for Treasurer? Board can appoint mid-term. If anyone knows anyone interested, send them to the Board.
- Resident Lori Schmitz would be interested. Should put a notice on the website as well.
