Town of Clinton Board Meeting
March 11, 2026
7:00 pm at the Town Hall, S1299 County Road D
Board Minutes
Meeting called to order by Chairman Von Ruden at 7:00pm
Pledge of Allegiance:
Roll Call:
- Chairman Darin Von Ruden, Supervisor #1 Joe Giles, Supervisor #2 John Chapiewsky, Town Treasurer Alyssa Daines, Town Clerk Lori Hemmersbach.
Financial Report and Bills:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the Financial Report. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approved the 3.12.26 transfer from Tax Savings to Checking of $27,800.00. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to pay the bills. (3 ayes)
- Discussion of outstanding check for Headwater Farm. Left over from Jan. Never dealt with. May have to be unclaimed property, not sure the process.
Approve Minutes:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 2.16.26 Board Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
Public Comment:
- Matt Albright from Vernon County Land and Zoning, working on land division ordinance for the County. Would like to be on April’s agenda to come back and talk.
Building Inspector:
- No update, still waiting on test results.
2026 Road Projects:
- Resident Fred Brandt and Patrolman Sanders located all the tubes in Knapp Valley. We do have some bad tubes and worrisome bridges.
- Has had 2 calls from Amish wanting to haul lumber out when road bans are on. What’s the board say? No hauling, bans are on.
- Weather permitting, Friday, Fred and Scot will inspect and map all tubes on East Bloomingdale, also inspect spillways.
- Darin has talked to Phil Hewitt on Grant opportunities for critical replacement of small bridges/culverts. 90% covered through the state. Knapp Valley needs to be addressed, road lifted to keep from having standing water on road, also bad culverts.
Red Truck:
- In LaFarge. Everything is covered by insurance and done, except for the seat. Sub frame was slightly bent. Scot picked up truck to have for upcoming snow.

- Supervisor Giles completed, March 6
Community Development Grant:
- Supervisor Giles filling out paperwork. Have quote from Scott’s ($28,000) and B & W Concrete ($25,000). Hershberger’s for doors ($1500). Waiting on quote from Chad Miller.
Grant Writing, Jewel Consulting:
- Stick with Phil and County for now.
Public Comment:
- Resident Tamsen Morgan asked about outstanding check, who would take care of? Alyssa will talk to County Treasurer Karen Delap about it.
- Resident Lori Schmitz asked which truck we are trading in-yellow truck. Also asked what our deductible is, $1000.00.
