April 8, 2020
Meeting called to order with the pledge of allegiance at 7 pm. Observing proper social distancing were Chairman John LaDue, Supervisor 1 Corey Leis, Supervisor 2 James Chapiewsky, Clerk Sandy Schweiger, Treasurer Jan Clark, Patrolman Scot Sanders and Lonnie Muller.
Supervisor Leis made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiwesky, to accept the financial report as read; all ayes, motion carried. Supervisor Chapiewsky made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Leis, to approve transferring $51.24 from tax savings to savings on April 4th, $23,000 from savings to checking on April 9th and $14,033 from savings to money management on April 9th; all ayes, motion carried. Supervisor Leis made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiwesky; to pay the monthly bills; all ayes, motion carried.
After a lengthy discussion the board members agreed on the year’s road projects, all to be completed by Scott’s Construction with 7/16” granite chips. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Leis, to complete FEMA projects on Knapp and Peaceful Valley; all ayes, motion carried. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiewsky, to seal coat Dell from Irish Ridge to Shortcut; all ayes, motion carried. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiewsky, to seal coat Dell from County P to Webster town line; all ayes, motion carried. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiwesky, to seal coat hill on Anderson, plus patching; all ayes, motion carried. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiwesky, to seal coat Wang Ridge from County Road P to Goplin; all ayes, motion carried. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Leis, to contract with Kraemer to pulverize, grade, water and roll from Parker to 100’ east of Weister Creek Road with Scott’s patching and single sealing from Dell to Weister Creek; all ayes, motion carried. Chairman LaDue made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Leis, to transfer $10,000 from patching and $7,000 from contingency to road fund for 7/10 mile on Irish Ridge (Dell to Weister Creek); all ayes, motion carried. Weister Creek will be patched and graveled.
Supervisor Chapiewsky made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Leis, to approve the minutes; all ayes, motion carried. Annual meeting will be convened Saturday to reschedule for May 9th at 10 am.
Supervisor Chapiewsky had concerns the attendants at the Recycle Center were not providing assistance; Chairman LaDue will discuss this with them. Backhoe was repaired, but still experiences vibration in high gear. A culvert will be moved from Wang to Anderson. A new culvert is needed on upper Knapp Valley, north of Kelbel Road, but this will be delayed until next year. Shot rock is needed for the approaches on Evenstad Bridge.
At 9:12 pm, Supervisor Chapiewsky made a motion to adjourn, 2nd by Supervisor Leis; all ayes, motion carried.
