Board Meeting 

Town of Clinton 

November 11, 2020 

Meeting was called to order at 7 pm immediately following the budget hearing. In attendance were Chairman John LaDue, Supervisor 1 Corey Leis, Supervisor 2 James Chapiewsky, Clerk Sandy Schweiger, Treasurer Jan Clark, Scot Sanders and Lonnie Muller. 

Supervisor Chapiewsky made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Leis, to accept the financial report as read. Supervisor Leis made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiewsky, to approve transfers of $650 from savings to checking and $76,350 from money management to checking; all ayes, motion carried. Supervisor Leis made a motion to approve payment of bills, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiewsky; all ayes, motion carried. 

The county will be contracted to perform $4000 worth of brushing, focusing on Weister Creek, Parker, Norwegian Valley and Dell (from Shortcut south) Roads. The tar kettle is not currently operating; Supervisor Leis will check into this. Tar bricks are available from the county at $30-36, with 25-30 needed to fill the kettle. An electrical connection with the truck is needed to keep the tar stirred once heated. 

Kevin Bluske will be contacted regarding the new insurance policy as it did not arrive in time for the meeting. 

Plowing of private driveways was addressed particularly regarding a resident whose spouse passed away. Chairman LaDue made a motion to honor request for this year, 2nd by Supervisor Leis; all ayes, motion carried. Next year handicapped certificate will be needed. Loads of sand were delivered at $150 full load, $75 half load. 

Supervisor Leis made a motion, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiewsky, to approve the minutes; all ayes, motion carried. 

Next month’s meeting on December 9th will begin at 6 pm instead of 7 pm. 

The beaver dam impacting Dell Road was in the process of being removed when the landowner died unexpectedly. The family will be consulted about installing a wire cage to protect the hose thereby allowing the water to drain properly. 

At 7:40 pm, Supervisor Leis made a motion to adjourn, 2nd by Supervisor Chapiewsky; all ayes, motion carried.
