Town of Clinton Board Meeting
December 15, 2025
7:00 pm at the Town Hall, S1299 County Road D
Board Minutes
Meeting called to order by Chairman Von Ruden at 7:00pm
Pledge of Allegiance:
Roll Call:
- Chairman Darin Von Ruden, Supervisor #1 Joe Giles, Supervisor #2 John Chapiewsky, Town Clerk Lori Hemmersbach.
Financial Report and Bills:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the Financial Report. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsksy/Giles moved to approve the 12.16.25 transfer from Savings to Checking of $50,500.00. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 12.1625 transfer from Amish Savings to Checking of $8,400.00 (3ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to pay the bills. (3 ayes)
Approve Minutes:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 11.12.25 Board Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 11.19.25 Budget Hearing Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 11.19.25 Elector’s Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
Public Comment:
- Resident Tammy Litsey complimented the new bridge in Bloomingdale.
- Resident Lori Schmitz commented that the tube area on Wood Ridge was much better since it was patched.
- Resident Steve Schmitz wanted to know who was going to pay for fence posts that had been chopped off by the new mower. Some wood posts and some metal t-posts. Chairman Von Ruden said he will have to stop down and take a look at them and see if they are in the right-of-way. A discussion will be had.
2025 Road Projects:
- Mostly plowing snow.
- Need to straighten and replace some tiger signs in Knapp Valley.
2026 Budget:
- M/S/P: Giles/Chapiewsky to pass the 2026 Budget as accepted by the Electors. (3ayes)
Diesel Fuel Contract:
- No action.
Building Inspector:
- New guy still has some tests to take. No other news.
Insurance Renewal:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles to renew insurance policy with Rural Mutual. (3 ayes)
Bank of Cashton Line of Credit:
- No action
Election Workers:
- M/S/P: Giles/Chapiewsky to accept the Election Workers as presented by Clerk Hemmersbach. (3ayes)
Town Treasurer Resignation:
- As of 11/30/25. Board thanked Jan for her 22.5 years of service, presented her with an award the board had gotten for her.
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles to appoint Alyssa Daines to Town Treasurer for the Town of Clinton. (3 ayes)
- Alyssa was introduced by Chairman Von Ruden and she spoke about herself briefly.
Public Comment:
- Resident Tamsen Morgan asked if the Elector and Budget Hearing Minutes get approved at this meeting and not the next Elector/Budget Hearing Meeting. They get approved at this, the next, regular meeting. It’s the Annual Meeting minutes that get approved the next time it’s met.
