Town of Clinton Board Meeting
February 16, 2026
7:00 pm at the Town Hall, S1299 County Road D
Board Minutes
Meeting called to order by Chairman Von Ruden at 7:00pm
Pledge of Allegiance:
Roll Call:
- Chairman Darin Von Ruden, Supervisor #1 Joe Giles, Supervisor #2 John Chapiewsky, Town Treasurer Alyssa Daines, Town Clerk Lori Hemmersbach.
Financial Report and Bills:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the Financial Report. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsksy/Giles moved to approve the 2.17.26 transfer from Amish Savings to Checking of $6,917.61. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 2.11.26 transfer from Amish Savings to Checking of $5,000.00 (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approved the 2.17.16 transfer from Tax Savings to Checking of $515,882.39. (3 ayes)
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to pay the bills. (3 ayes)
Approve Minutes:
- M/S/P: Chapiewsky/Giles moved to approve the 1.14.26 Board Meeting Minutes as presented. (3 ayes)
Public Comment:
2026 Road Projects:
- Kevin Schmitz from Scotts called about what roads we are going to do. Have a list, but need to do road tour.
- We don’t have to bid seal coat and wedging as it’s maintenance. New road work have to bid. Do we want to accept Scotts to do seal coat and wedging as usual.
- M/S/P: Giles/Chapiewsky to have Scott’s Construction do the road seal coating and wedging for the Township this year. (3 ayes)
- South Dell hill has some dips in 3 places. Will it come back with thaw? Need to watch.
- Need to look into ARIP/LRIP grants for Knapp Valley Road. Also need to check tube on Knapp.
- Need to check with Monroe County for when they do County Road D, may be time to do Ogden.
- Chairman Von Ruden will look into ARIP/LRIP grants.
- Road Band posting- go with county, see what weather does around March 1.
- Scot and Greg drove all the roads and mapped where shoulders need work and pot holes.
- If County has their edger out for roads, should look into cost and have them do instead of us.
- Yellow truck- we have zero cost lease signed with Debauche. Last estimate to fix everything was over $26,000.00
- Advertise Rock Bids. Deadline Friday, March 6.
BOR Training:
- Supervisor Giles going March 6th. Chairman Von Ruden doing online.
Cashton Fire District Meeting:
- Met in January. All up to date with payments.
La Farge Fire District Appreciation Dinner:
- Saturday, March 7. Cocktails 6pm, Dinner 7pm
Public Comment:
- Scot and Greg, plus significant others, went to the LaFarge Lions Club Dinner and Meeting and were presented with a plaque for appreciation of their snow plowing service.
Election- February 17th:
- 7am-8pm, Westby School Primary only
Community Development Grant:
- Due 3-16-26 at 4:30pm
- Cement/black top at shop- need bids
- Steps for town hall
- New doors at shop
- Supervisor Giles will take care of the Grant paperwork.
- Scot and Chairman Von Ruden will get some concrete bids
