Public Comment:

  • Town Resident Jan Clark wondered if the road sign for County Road P could be bigger? People miss the road and turn around in her driveway.

2026 Road Projects:

  • Done with seal coating.
  • Almost done with round 1 of ditch mowing.
  • Need to look at Nelson Rd, tube plugged. Town Resident Lars Bergan wants the water to go across the road.
  • Still ditch work to be done.
  • Bloomingdale Road, we did granite chips, Webster did limestone- good test to see what holds up better.
  • Supervisor Giles wondered what we use the screenings for? Mix with salt and spread on roads when oil is bleeding through.

Building Inspector:

  • Josh passed 1 test, can start his business. Has 1 more test to go. He has his license.
  • M/S/P: Giles/Chapiewsky to go ahead with Josh Baranczyk for Building Inspector. (3 ayes)

Part Time Help:

  • Greg Nelson quit. Darin mowed 4 days last week to help out. Looking for part time help.

New Lawn Mower Town Hall:

  • Scot serviced the mower and it fell apart. Deck rotten. Got a new one at Nelson’s.

Village Powers/Data Centers:

  • Would need to pass a resolution to pass Village Powers. Need this if we pass temporary 2 year ordinance for data centers. If we pass this we are committing to zone our township. Can zone at either board level or county level. Darin feels we need more information before we proceed. In July maybe exercise Village Powers? What’s the waiting period for a meeting?

Bloomingdale Junk:

  • Darin will speak with lawn owner again. Have to be careful about who is included, lots of places that could be considered junk.

Max Beck/Nilsestuen Rd.

  • Darin went over and looked at road. Darin mentioned we have worse roads in the township. It needs some patching, could also ditch the road. Darin will speak with Brent Beck about it.

Town Treasurer:

  • Still working on.

Village of Cashton:

  • Village President Derek Trescher called, wants to put 1.5-mile radius of Cashton on extra territorial reach for the town. Informational meeting July 16/17.

Open Book/Board of Review:

  • Open Book July 13 5-7pm, Board of Review July 27 5-7pm

Public Comment:

  • Scot said the Amish would like a guard rail going down Oneida Road hill. They would help put it in. They can get used materials- can we use used materials?
  • Tar Kettle at Leis’s- Scot will pick up and junk.

Next Regular Board Meeting: Wednesday, July 15 at 7pm
